Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school and medical school. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Diane Pennington manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth, and facial regions. Dr. Pennington practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery, wisdom tooth removal, corrective jaw surgery, and office-based intravenous (IV) sedation and general anesthesia. Dr. Pennington applies techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. She can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries, and fractures.
Surgical Staff
The surgical staff at Camden Oral Surgery are experienced oral and maxillofacial assistants, who assist in the administration of IV sedation and surgery. They are expertly trained to monitor patients during and after surgery and educate both the patient and family members or caretakers, in post-surgery care. All staff are certified in CPR.
